Thank-you for this information. My 2nd great grandfather was Major Elvington Brock, b TN about 1819, lived in Tippah, MS, and Houston, TX. Yours is the first family that used similar names. Major also mentioned a Scotland connection. I hope I can pin this down. Sincerely, Lois Matheson

Father of Levi Powell is Elijah Powell and mother Morning Wilson. I have a good collection of powell records and photos.
